In 2007, the Rainbow House hosted the Masquerade Ball as a 20th Anniversary party. The party additionally served to thank our founder, Kathy Hughes, our team members and all of the members of the community who support the Rainbow House and make it possible to achieve our mission to keep children safe to support families in crisis through prevention, assessment and intervention of child abuse and neglect. The ball was very much enjoyed and attended by the community and was so successful that our Board of Directors voted for it to become an annual event. The Masquerade Ball exists to capture the imagination of mid-Missouri supporters with a unique fundraiser to help make the difference in the lives of children by ending child abuse and neglect forever.
Rainbow House’s premiere gala, the Masquerade Ball, celebrates its 2nd annual ball on Saturday, April 25th, 2009. We invite you to participate in supporting the Rainbow House’s mission by considering one of these sponsorship levels.
By supporting the Rainbow House you will be helping children and families in our community at a most critical time.
The ball will feature an exciting evening of live and silent auction items, festive décor, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and entertainment for the evening that includes a live band, magicians, dancers and more. Masquerade Ball attendees will be able to purchase masks on pre-sale at several local businesses, and at the door that evening.
The event begins on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at the University Club on the University of Missouri’s campus, 107 Reynolds Alumni Center across from Jesse Hall.

Masquerade Ball 2007
The 20th Anniversary Rainbow House Masquerade Ball was a huge success for the Rainbow House, in addition to celebrating our supporters, the event raised more than $20,000.
