Volunteering

Welcome to the Rainbow House! We have lots of volunteer opportunities at Rainbow House whether you are seeking to make a difference in the life of a child in crisis or would like to assist Rainbow House in being able to maintain that care through the administration of a wide range of services.  Below is a list of possible ways that you can get involved!

Possible Volunteer Jobs:

*assist staff in direct care of children

*provide activities and recreation for children

*provide tutoring and homework assistance

*serve as a positive role model/mentor for children

*role model and teach appropriate social skills

*assist in meal preparation and clean up

*assist staff with meal and bedtime routines

*assist staff with housekeeping chores

*assist with deep cleaning and organizational projects

*accept, sort and store donations

*answer phones

*complete office work

*yard work

*minor repairs and maintenance

We are open to suggestions as to other ways that we can enhance the lives of the children and families that we serve here at Rainbow House.  If you have a special talent or ability we would love to talk with you about that!

Group volunteer opportunities such as maintenance projects that would involve gardening, repairing and maintaining the facility is always a wonderful way to help at Rainbow House.

Our volunteer coordinator, Jessica Barker, would love to talk with you further about your involvement here at the Rainbow House.  We appreciate your interest and look forward to meeting you.

Step Up & Volunteer With Rainbow House!
